Eventhough this picture does not do justice to this 9lb 3 oz german brown trout it still is a big fish which John and Pat , owners of Eagle Valley Resort have sent to Vegas to be mounted and eventually displayed in the bar at the Resort. Oh yeah, Don Gent caught the fish ice fishing, jigging with a worm at the end of his jig. He was using 6lb test line.
Eagle Valley Reservoir is stocked with brown, rainbow and tiger trout and the great part of the fishing at the reservoir is that everyone catches fish. I think one of the greatest fishing stories that I have to tell is a very simple one. I have watched the look on youngsters faces when they have caught their first fish. That look is something that is experienced and not described. Big Fish Boat Rentals has been renting out boats at and to the reservoir for eight years and it has been some of the most fun that I have experienced. Dealing with outdoor people and having the pleasure of serving them has really been a kick ass time. And I want to thank all of my loyal customers for their support. Thanks, Dennis and Cherry.
This year we will be renting out the boats from Eagle Valley Resort. You can call or go to our office at the resort and reserve a boat. Mastercard or Visa are required to hold a boat. We will transport the boat to a slip at the reservoir and we will pay for that slip. You will return the boat to that slip after each use and when you are done with the boat you can call or drop by the office. We will have everything in the boat that you need for safe boating: life jacket for each occupant, oars for emergency use, fire extinguisher approved for marine use, and two anchors which will keep the boat from spinning around while you are still fishing.

As you can see some of the pictures are of our woodcutting business, which we do year around. Most of our deliveries are to the Las Vegas and Henderson areas but we also deliver to St George, UT and even to Reno, NV. We have a 20ft gooseneck which will haul 5 cords and we deliver and stack the wood for the prices that we advertise and there are no a la carte charges for home delivery or stacking. You don't have to pay extra for anything. Our wood is very dry and immediately burnable. And it smells good too.
Big Fish Boat Rentals has a gift certificate which can be purchased by calling or emailing Dennis and we will send your gift certificate to the person for whom you purchased it or send it to you to send to them. You can either rent a boat with the certificate or buy a cord of firewood to be delivered and stacked whenever you wish. Payment can be by check, Discover card, MC or Visa. So if someone's birthday or anniversary is coming up soon maybe this is just another idea for a gift. Firewood is a great Christmas gift and we deliver all over Vegas and Henderson.
